  • What if I'm a beginner?
All are welcome to all of our classes. For specific recommendations, we suggest reaching out so we can help find a class that fits you- beginners come in all shapes and sizes so different classes suit different folks. You can also browse our class descriptions to get a feel for what to expect from each class.
  • How do I sign up?
We use a platform called momoyoga to schedule our classes- you can book directly on our page here, or download the momoyoga app on your favorite app store and search "Yoga People Oneonta." All classes must be paid for in order to register in advance, and we highly recommend doing so! Walk-ins are accepted as space allows. We offer several different pricing options - please see our Rates page for full details
  • Why do I have to make an account, can't I just show up?
We too miss the good ol' days of just showing up and practicing yoga, and we hope to make the experience as simple as possible. But to keep our business running smoothly, we need to use technology to keep things organized. Creating an account (even if you're just visiting!) helps us track important key measures, report our proper taxes, and keep track of who comes in and out of our doors. Plus, it makes it easy for you to come back in the future. We promise we'll never sell your info or email you junk!
  • What do I need to bring?
Yourself and an open mind is all you need. Mats are suggested, but we have some to rent if needed. We recommend something you don't mind getting sweaty in if it's a heated class, and water is always suggested.
  • What are the basic expectations in studio etiquette?
Arrive early. Give yourself 15 minutes to settle in, maybe more if you haven't visited us before. We lock the doors at the start of class and no-shows are nonrefundable. Mums the word. Yoga is better with friends however please help us create a distraction free space by reserving conversations for before or after class! Stay. Each class includes a brief resting period- not an opportunity to skip out early. We know sometimes things come up so chat with your teacher BEFORE class if you think you might have to jet out early, but this should be in emergencies only. Avoid the Fluff. It might feel tempting to bring in all the accessories, but we recommend just bringing what you absolutely need. As some scents can be potentially disruptive, we ask that you avoid using fragrance and essential oils that might affect your neighbor. Non-Attachment. All phones and phone like devices (watches, etc) should remain in the cubbies outside the studio unless absolutely necessary. If you must bring a device in, please keep it on silent and select a space towards the door so you can gently leave if called away. If you leave the room, you can come back, but please don't come in and out.
  • Is there a minimum age requirement?
Yes. Clients must be 16 or older to participate, and those under 18 must have written permission from a caregiver or doctor. Clients under 16 will be admitted on a case by case basis by reaching out in advance.
  • What time should I arrive?
Please give yourself at least 10-15 minutes to arrive- for the safety of the community and our belongings, we lock our doors at the start of class and late arrivals are nonrefundable.
  • What is your cancelation policy?
Classes can be canceled up to 6 hours before they start. Anything later, including no shows, is nonrefundable. If canceled in time, your pass will be returned to your account for later use. If you need to refund the class to your credit card, contact us directly. NOTE: The door is locked at the start of each class and we do not allow late entry- if you are locked out, it is considered a no-show and is nonrefundable.
  • What if I'm waitlisted?
You will be contacted by the email associated with your account if you are added to class, no less than 2 hours in advance. Keep in mind, if you are added to class from the waitlist, our cancelation policy stands- if you won't be able to take the class, please cancel your spot on the waitlist or you will risk losing the pass. If you are not added to class, your pass will be automatically returned to your account for later use.
