Ali Hanrahan

Ali grew up in a small town in upstate New York but started her practice seven years ago while living in Brooklyn. Yoga was the perfect balance to her busy city lifestyle and helped to keep her grounded. Coming to the mat over the years has been a safe space to call home and helped Ali through many of life’s transitions.

Ali’s intention is to help connect people with their highest values and truest self; to create space, community, and provide tools for those looking to deepen their practice and connection with self. Ali has actively practiced most styles of yoga but is most drawn to Vinyasa, Iyengar, Yin, and Restorative, with elements of Pranayama sprinkled throughout. In her classes, you can expect elements of music and chanting mantras as well.  In the future, Ali plans to become certified in Pranayama, Prenatal, and is learning to play the harmonium.

Ali is a mother to a radiant little girl who has taught her the deepest love and patience and presence. Yoga has been a huge influence in her mothering and she is incredibly grateful for this practice.

Yoga has been nothing short of a transformational practice in so many aspects of my life. If I can help you connect to something deeper within yourself, cultivate a little more peace in your life, and/or help provide any tools to foster even an ounce of growth or transformation, I have done my service as a teacher.
